Sri Dodda Ganapathi Temple is located in Basavanagudi. The monolithic Ganapathi is about 18 ft in height and 16 ft in width. The most famous is the butter coating of the idol. More than 100 kg of butter is used for this purpose.

The monolithic Ganesha is about 18 ft in height and 16 ft in width. The God is also known as Shakthi Ganapathi or Satya Ganapathi. People from all walks of life come here to seek blessings. What makes this idol more attractive to the devotees is, the different types of decorations that are done during the week. The most famous is the butter coating of the idol. More than 100 kgs of butter is used for this purpose.


KANIPAKAM GANAPATHI

The Prasannanadha Ganapathi Temple is situated at Bangalore in Karnataka. It was established in 1970 when a farmer found the idol when he dug up his fields. The main deity is known by the name Prasanna Ganapathy, a manifestation of Lord Ganesh. Lord Shiva is also worshipped here. It is believed that the deity fulfills every single wish of the devotee. Devotees, in large numbers, attend the rituals and festivals.

The Dodda Ganesha Temple is located on the Bull Temple Road in Basavanagudi. It was built by Dempegowda I. Once while he was strolling, he came across several rocks and one of the boulders had a figure of Ganesha engraved on them. He ordered his sculptors to convert the figure into a huge and fantastic single stone idol of Lord Ganesha.

The massive Ganesha of this famous temple is about 18 ft tall in height and 16 ft wide. The lord is also known as Shakthi Ganapathi and Satya Ganapthi. The idol is believed to be growing on its right side.
